Air Conditioning

Heating and cooling, humidification and dehumidification and air cleaning are carried out by air conditioning systems. Air conditioners are primarily intended for air conditioning of individual rooms or enclosed spaces in which the devices are installed.

Air chambers are used for air conditioning of larger spaces, and small compact mono split or multi split air conditioners designed as wall, floor-parapet, ceiling, cassette or duct air conditioners are used for air conditioning of residential, business or office premises.

They are usually equipped with an air filter, thermostat and electronic device for temperature control and enable cooling, heating and dehumidification. Multi split air conditioners are designed with one outdoor unit to which a number of independently controlled indoor units are installed in individual rooms.

PRINCIPLE OF AIR CONDITIONING OPERATION

1. Temperature: The temperature of dry room air obtained by cooling or heating.
2. Humidity: Pleasant humidity of room air is reflected by regulation of relative humidity (while room air is controlled under given conditions of relative humidity).
3. Degree of cleanliness: Removes dust from the air, and maintains the concentration of smoke within acceptable limits.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICing

The most important maintenance task that will ensure the efficiency of your air conditioner is to routinely replace or clean its filters. Clogged, dirty filters reduce the amount of air flow and significantly reduce system efficiency.

In addition, when air flow is obstructed, air can bypass the filter and deposit dirt directly into the evaporator coil and reduce the heat absorption coil capacity. Replacing a dirty, clogged filter with a clean one can reduce the energy consumption of your air conditioner by 5% to 15%.

AC Servicing

Some types of filters can be reused; others must be replaced. They are available in different types and efficiencies. Clean or replace the air conditioning filter or filters every month or two during the cooling season.

Filters may need more frequent care if the air conditioner is in constant use, subject to dusty conditions, or you have furry pets in the house
